Patient satisfaction scores drive everything here. Double-edged sword.

I want to give a balanced review because most reviews are either 'best place ever' or 'run away.' Reality is usually somewhere in the middle, and that's where this hospital sits. Positives: clean facility, good security, Epic EMR with a solid build, free parking, and a genuinely nice cafeteria. The OR where I worked had modern equipment, cases ran on schedule most days, and the anesthesiologists were collaborative. Negatives: they float OR nurses to PACU when census is low (which happened about once a week), the call schedule was heavier than advertised (every 3rd night plus every 3rd weekend), and the pay for this area wasn't competitive compared to similar contracts I've been offered elsewhere. Neutral: the staff was professional but not particularly warm to travelers initially. By about week 6 they opened up and it was fine. Overall I'd give it a 7/10. I didn't extend but I also didn't regret taking the contract. If the rates go up I'd consider going back.

Volunteer greeter at the front entrance every morning. Sets the tone for the whole place.

Good facility but the area is boring. Bring hobbies.
