The hospital has a rooftop garden. Great for breaks.

They have standing orders for common situations - chest pain, hypoglycemia, febrile neutropenia. Reduces unnecessary pages.

Worked in their ambulatory surgery center connected to the main hospital. Same-day surgeries - hernia repairs, rotator cuff, knee scopes, cataracts, colonoscopies. Patients arrive, have surgery, recover, and go home all within a few hours. The pace is brisk but predictable. No emergencies, no admits (usually), and the patients are generally healthy. Great quality-of-life assignment for nurses who want to use surgical skills without hospital chaos.

Took a local contract here. 45 min commute but worth it.
