I took a lower-paying contract here because the area was where I wanted to be for personal reasons. Zero regrets. The facility exceeded expectations - clean, organized, good ratios, supportive management. Sometimes chasing the highest dollar isn't the move.

Worked here during Joint Commission survey week. The anxiety was palpable. But honestly, the hospital was already doing things right so it wasn't the scramble I've seen at other places. The fact that they passed with minimal findings tells you something about their baseline standards. Props to the quality team here.

This was a correctional healthcare contract through the hospital system. Providing nursing care inside a county jail. Not for everyone but the experience was eye-opening. The patient population has significant unmet health needs. You manage chronic diseases, handle acute issues, and coordinate with security. The nursing care is the same; the environment is different. Changed my perspective on healthcare access.
