Worked their apheresis unit for 13 weeks. Therapeutic plasma exchange, leukapheresis, stem cell collection, and red cell exchange. Small specialized team, complex patients with rare conditions. The medical director was a hematologist who was always available. Spectra Optia machines, which I was trained on. Very niche but fascinating nursing. If you have apheresis experience, these contracts are rare and pay well.

Administration pushed back on my PTO request for a long weekend. My recruiter fought for me and won but it was annoying. The floor staff couldn't care less - they were supportive. Just a disconnect between upper management and the actual clinical team.
