Brought flowers for the nurses who took care of my wife. They cried.

My husband had prostate cancer treated here. The urologic oncologist presented all options - surgery, radiation, active surveillance. We felt like partners in the decision, not passive recipients of a recommendation. He chose robotic surgery and the outcomes have been excellent. The nursing staff in the surgical unit was knowledgeable about post-prostatectomy care. Cancer is scary but feeling informed and supported made it manageable.

Just got home after spending a week here following emergency heart surgery and I need to share how incredible this hospital was. I came into the ER at 11pm on a Wednesday with what I thought was bad heartburn. Turns out I was having a STEMI - a serious heart attack. Within minutes of my EKG, an entire team appeared. I was in the cath lab within 30 minutes of walking through the door. The interventional cardiologist placed a stent and explained to my terrified wife what was happening every step of the way. After the procedure I was moved to the cardiac ICU where I spent 3 days. The ICU nurses were extraordinary - patient, knowledgeable, and reassuring during the most frightening time of my life. They explained every medication, every alarm, every test. When I was moved to the cardiac step-down unit, the care continued to be excellent. Physical therapy started the next day (which surprised me but they explained why early mobility matters). A dietitian came to talk about heart-healthy eating. A social worker checked in on my mental health and my wife's. The cardiac rehab team visited before discharge to set up my outpatient program. What impressed me most was how coordinated everything was. It felt like every person on my care team was on the same page. I never had to repeat my story or remind someone of my allergies or medications. That kind of coordination doesn't happen by accident - it reflects a hospital that has invested in doing things right. I'm 4 weeks post-discharge now, attending cardiac rehab, and feeling better every day. I truly believe the speed and quality of care I received here saved my life.

The registration nurse explained my copay upfront. No surprise bills.
