Standard BCBS experience for the DC metro area. Wide network including all the major hospital systems. The BlueChoice plan is a good option for keeping costs down. No major complaints but no wow factor either. Just reliable coverage.

CareFirst covers MD DC and northern VA. The network is solid for the region. My experience has been average. Claims are processed without major issues. Customer service is okay nothing great. The app works but feels dated compared to national carriers. Premiums are competitive for the area.
